HSA STEEL OPEN WAGON KIT WITH STEEL FLOOR

HISTORY: -
The HSA open wagons were designed in the lat 1950’s to replace Queensland Railways ageing fleet of H and HJ open wagons. They are of steel construction and ran from new with QR20 type bogies (similar to 2BP). They were built with a timber floor to allow Goods to be fastened to the floor to eliminate movement of goods whilst in transit. They were designed for the transport of general goods and can carry 14 standard pallets. There were 14 in service.
