A total of 1350 wagons were built and some wagons were converted to CLX, QSC, QSCW, QLDP, QLXM, QLXP, QLXT, QLXH, QZS, PCY, PCYK, KOJX, and QLP. The QLX has a wooden floor with a timber strip wall in the middle of the wagon to separate loading for two companies and stations. The wagons were not designed for forklifts to load in or out of the wagon. The wagon has a tare weight of 18.8 tonnes with a carrying capacity of 21.2 tonnes. The QLX wagon has 2 types of end walls called “ORIGINAL” and “MODERN”. The QLX wagon is still in use today, but their life is slowly coming to an end. We wish to thank C. Malone for a large amount of this information.
